TEEN HEALTH EMPOWERMENT STUDY
The Safer Sex Intervention (SSI) Teen Health Empowerment Study is an individualized skills-building program designed with teens in mind! It offers an opportunity for young women, just like yourself, to speak privately and confidentially with a Health Educator (somebody like an older friend or someone you can trust), but who is trained in providing medically-accurate information on sex. Some of the teens like to call them “Sexperts” for short.
THE SIHLE PROGRAM
SIHLE (See-Lay) or Sistas Informing, Healing, Living, and Empowering is a program designed just for African American female youth ages 14-18 who want to become a part of a family of sistas who are proud to be African American and know how to handle their business.
THE TEENS RISE! PROJECT
TeensRISE! is an Orlando-based, judgment free zone where teens are free to discuss life’s pressures, temptations and obstacles. You only live once and our goal is to make sure you live your life safely, and to the fullest.
WTF! (WHAT’S THE FACTS!)
There are two types of abstinence and both keep you from getting pregnant! Continuous abstinence is not having sex play with a partner at all. Celibacy abstinence is when you have previously had sex, but have now decided to wait for that special person or event. Continuous abstinence is the only one that’s 100 percent effective!
