How We Engage Families
Parent Advisory Committee
We deeply value the insights and perspectives of parents, as they help us identify and address potential barriers to success. On our parent advisory committee, parents play a vital role as advocates for families and students, communicating their needs and helping ensure they have the resources, opportunities, and guidance necessary for a successful transition from high school to college.
Family Engagement Workshops
Engaging workshops provide up-to-date information and insights critical to first generation student success in post-secondary education. These sessions align families to work toward common goals: building strong study habits, meeting a-g graduation requirements, making the most of high school, applying to college, completing FAFSA and scholarship applications, and more.
Listening Sessions
All programs are informed by community listening sessions - both to amplify voices and to build a culture of collaboration and trust within school communities. We create safe spaces for families, students, and teachers to share insights into the challenges they face and the programs they believe will support their growth. By engaging directly with the community we support, we ensure that the programs and resources we offer result in impactful outcomes.
